Cost Rank & Trade

In general, items don't have a direct cost in nizi. A Cost Rank is between 1 and 8. Most items fall between 3 and 5. To make a purchase the Character's Wealth Rank is compared to the item's Cost Rank. Consult the following:
- Cost Rank < Wealth Rank = No Check needed
- Cost Rank = Wealth Rank = Check (see below)
- Cost Rank = Wealth Rank + 1 = Check and Debt (see below), or Short-Term Goal
- Cost Rank = Wealth Rank + 2 = No Check, only available through a Long-Term Goal
- Cost Rank = Wealth Rank + 3 = No Check, only available through Long-Term Goal and Debt
- Cost Rank = Wealth Rank + 4 or more = Unavailable
Wealth Check
The Character's Wealth Rank is used to create their Dice Pool. The Player must roll a number of Successes equal to the Cost Rank. The Story Guide (SG) sets the SN with a default of 9
Debt
A Debt is in the form of a Burden chosen by the SG.
