The Tunnels are a vast system of underground passages dug beneath Regions & Continents:Makasing:The Free Lands:Cahokia. Their origins date back to before the Awis, with many still undiscovered and hidden. There are whispers that if one ventures deep enough, they may discover additional tunnels, ancient and forgotten, dating back thousands of years before the Awis.
After the Awis, the inhabitants of the area began digging into the earth to seek warmth, as the surface environment had become harsh and cold. However, as the climate shifted and warmer weather returned, the underground tunnels became less essential. Over time, many sections of the tunnels were abandoned.
In the 700s a spiritual leader named Awaholi Diihii took to the tunnels with his followers, the Kookooiya.
The Rock Breaker Plot was heavily reliant on the tunnels to cause so much destruction.
In 716 Chani, after the exile of Awaholi Diihii, Chani, Ahana, and Tanush founded the city of Regions & Continents:Makasing:The Free Lands:Agartha within the tunnels. This new city was built by those who followed Chani, seeking to create a sanctuary away from the world above. It is a place that embodies the Kookooiya's deep connection to the underground, forming a community deeply rooted in the tunnels’ legacy.

Naazhiig
Naazhiig is a large chamber once in decay it has been restored with the help of the Ami Art Collective. The chamber is dimly lit by dishes filled with tallow. The light plays softly on the stone mosaic that adorns the entire room, depicting an idealized dream of what hope awaits in the future.
Hakooh
Located far below Naazhiig, Hakooh is the lowest level regularly used by the Kookooiya people. Unlike Naazhiig, which relies on artificial light, Hakooh is illuminated by a large rock at its center, covered with bioluminescent green fungus. The fungus glows with patches of bright purple Adanadi, adding an eerie and otherworldly light to the area.
