Districts

Cahokia is divided into several distinct districts, each serving unique roles and functions within the city. These districts help organize the city’s social, economic, and cultural life, providing spaces dedicated to governance, trade, residential communities, and specialized industries. Each district maintains autonomy but collaborates closely with neighboring areas and the city’s central council to ensure cohesion. This structure allows Cahokia to sustain a balanced ecosystem of trade, agriculture, education, and public services while reflecting the diverse lifestyles and professions of its inhabitants.

Chizi:

Chizi is the center of trade in Cahokia, complete with the finest hotels and restaurants. Some key locations are:
Boat Yard: You can figure this one out.
Chizi Market: Market in the Chizi district specializing in exotic tech and goods.
Chizi Port: A hub of trade at the center of The Free Lands.
Community Garden: A lovely garden tended by the local restaurants.
Gichi-Michim: A floating market in an artificial bay east of Chizi specializing in foods.
Housing Area: Housing for boat wrights and traders.
Yosna Nizig Hotel: Traditional hotel along the Mizizibi River.

Hapaki Mininan:

Hapaki Mininan is a school that is located on five islands in the middle of the Mizizibi River.

Mataawi:

Mataawi is the bureaucratic and government center with housing and plenty of spectacle, sports and distractions.
Mataawi Building: The meeting place of the Council of Twelve and central government building.
Nigichazii: Census Building.
Baya Wanka: Public Aid Office.
Hanayan: Post office.
Nithiicha Public Works: Public works office.
Anpa Gatchoo: Eastern Gatchoo stadium.
Wiya Gatcho: Western Gatchoo stadium.
Nawit: Handball arena.
Housing Area for Bureaucrats: Housing for clerks, mid-level comedians and poets, athletes, and sports related professions.
Michim ga Wayoopiki Market: Mostly food and tech close to government offices.
Chikan Thunwi Plaza: An ancient plaza that was destroyed in 710 The Rock Breaker Plot. The whole area has been filled over with a dirt mound as a memorial to the dead.

Nabanamo is the hub for dining and entertainment.
Niwaanaki Fine Dining: Fine dining restaurant.
Mnondamwin Home Cooking: Home cooking restaurant
Woonch: Comedy club with less than trustworthy dining.
Nookaroobi: Popular night club.
Olowag Yipihachankana: Retro night club aimed at elders.

Nahikoongi:

Nahikoongi is a lush residential area.

Nahikoongi Market: The place for handmade goods and Cahokia specific items at good prices.

Papanshin:

Papanshin is farm land that feeds Cahokia. In recent years, the city has expanded to Papanshin's side of the Mizizibi River, crowding out the area.

Wijiwanka:

Yitiisi Gami Lake: Beautiful lake in the center of Cahokia.
Natsoo Wanka Hapaki: Cahokia’s largest teaching hospital.
Natsoo Wanka Hapaki Medicinal Garden: Where botanists, healers, and their students work together growing and gathering plants for nutritional and medicinal purposes in addition to developing new varieties with increased efficacy.
Pikisi Wanka Market: Specializing in clothes, beautification, personal adornment.
Nasokootoo: Public sauna.
